A few light rain showers will stick around Friday morning, but clearing skies will take over by lunch. Saturday looks absolutely beautiful with highs near 65 and a light breeze out of the east.
Rain moves out, sun moves in
Rain is moving off to the west and the clouds will eventually go with it today. Friday afternoon and evening will shape up nicely as the sun takes over and highs climb to about 60 degrees.

A northwest wind doesn’t spoil the party too much at around 10 mph.
Clear skies Friday night will allow the thermometer to drop to the upper 30s to near 40 degrees.

Beautiful Saturday, more rain Sunday
Saturday looks absolutely beautiful with highs near 65 and a light breeze out of the east. Take advantage of the sun before another round of rain moves in before the weekend is out.
Sunday is not a washout by any means, but clouds and a few showers blot out the sun. With a breeze from the south, Sunday’s highs should stick near 65 degrees.
More widespread rain takes over Sunday night. Even northern Minnesota — the area of the state that is most in need of rain — can expect a decent dose.
Stormy start to next week
And while this whole system still has a lot of developing to do, expect Monday to be a stormy day, especially in the southeastern corner of the state. Keep an eye on the forecast heading into the beginning of next week.

After we get through this wet streak, the longer term trend suggests a drier patch is in the forecast for the beginning of May.
Following a good period of rain, warm sunshine will have leaves on the trees and flowers blooming before we know it. Time to tune up the lawnmower!
