Winds will pick up through Sunday night, with temperatures dipping into the 40s. Expect cooler weather and overcast skies on Monday. Rain is likely by the end of the week, followed by a warming trend.

A cold front moving through the state will bring gusty northwest winds, which will persist into Monday. Winds could gust up to 35-40 mph on Monday.

Areas of light to moderate rain chances possible for northern Minnesota, with east-central Minnesota possibly seeing a scattered shower through Sunday night. 

Cooler temperatures being pulled into the system will transition the rain to snow for northern Minnesota, where a winter weather advisory has been issued for Monday from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Total snow accumulation up to 4 inches is possible. 

Low temperatures will drop into the low 40s, with 30s in central and northern Minnesota. 

Lingering clouds and showers will keep temperatures cooler on Monday, with gusty winds sticking around as well. Highs will remain below seasonal averages, reaching only the lower 50s.

Temperatures will continue to moderate through mid-week, with highs returning to the 60s on Wednesday and Thursday. Our next chance for rain looks to arrive Thursday into Friday.
