A bright start to our Saturday as southerly flow brings warmer-than-usual temps this weekend. Expect highs in the 60s and 70s, but rain chances will roll in on Sunday.
Sunny start with warmer temperatures
Ample sunshine to start our weekend with mid to high level clouds filtering in by Saturday afternoon. High temperatures for Saturday will warm into the upper 60s, with mid-50s for the arrowhead region and low 70s in southwest Minnesota.

Warm air from the south will be pushed in by breezy southerly winds. Southern Minnesota can expect gusts over 30-35 mph.

Clouds will start to build in Saturday night as our next low pressure system approaches. Expect mild lows in the upper 40s to low 50s across central to southern Minnesota, while the north will dip into the 30s and 40s.

On Sunday, our next weather system will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms across the state. Rain totals are expected to range from a few hundredths to around a tenth of an inch.
As cooler air moves in Sunday night, a wintry mix of wet snow will fall in far northern Minnesota, with total accumulations expected to be around one to two inches.

Sunday will be another mild day, with temperatures climbing into the 60s and 70s for most areas, and some cooler 50s up north.

A brief cooldown is expected to kick off the week, with below-average highs in the upper 40s to low 50s, accompanied by breezy northwest winds.
