Lingering clouds will break up a bit late Thursday. Temperatures will be below normal, mostly in the 40s. Overall cooler-than-normal temperatures will persist into early next week.
Cooler, quieter following Wednesday’s storm system
We have just a few snow showers left in far northeastern Minnesota. Other than that, we will have lingering clouds across most of the state for most of Thursday. Clouds will decrease later in the day allowing for some peeks of sun.
High temperatures will be slightly below normal, mostly in the 40s with some pockets of 30s in west-central Minnesota with the fresh snowpack.

Temperatures will warm briefly for the Twin Cities and southeastern Minnesota into the low to mid-50s Friday afternoon ahead of a cold front.

That cold front will be likely be the only weather maker of the next seven to 10 days. Some rain and snow showers are possible, especially north and west, Friday into Friday night.

The most likely are for some slushy snowfall accumulation will be in northern and western Minnesota. Most will see under 1 inch though up to 2 inches is possible along the international border.

Overall, temperatures will be below normal, in the 40s and 30s, into early next week before spring temperatures return mid to late week with 60s in southern Minnesota.

After Friday, the overall pattern is pretty dry into next week. The seven-day forecast calls for little or no measurable precipitation in eastern Minnesota.
