Sunshine returns Monday. A quick clipper system will bring a few rain and snow showers Monday night into Tuesday. More rain and snow may fall this weekend.

Sunshine is back Monday but an active pattern persists 

Northern Minnesota got a decent snowfall over the weekend. 10.7 inches was picked up in Hovland on the North Shore, 10.4 inches in International Falls, and 9.5 inches fell in Grand Marais. 

After a wet, windy Sunday, the sun returns Monday. Clouds will linger in the Arrowhead and afternoon clouds will increase west. Highs will range from the 50s in southwestern Minnesota to just the 30s in the Arrowhead. 

We remain in a fairly active northwest flow pattern. A clipper system will bring a few scattered rain and snow showers Monday night into Tuesday, but precipitation impacts should be minimal. 

Highs Tuesday will be mostly in the 50s for southern Minnesota with 30s and 40s north.

Temperatures trend upward through the week with highs in the 60s to near 70 for southern Minnesota by Friday, nearly 20 degrees above normal.

We’re watching the next potential storm system which will develop rain and snow for northern Minnesota Friday. Rain will expand across much of the state Saturday, turning to snow Saturday night into Sunday. Significant snowfall will be possible somewhere in Minnesota.
