Our next disturbance will develop light rain showers from west to east Tuesday evening into the overnight. In northeastern Minnesota it will mix with some snow.
Scattered light rain showers overnight; continued mild
It’s yet another mild afternoon and that mild air will play a significant role in our next disturbance moving across Minnesota. We’ll see light rain showers move west to east late Tuesday afternoon and evening into the overnight.
The precipitation will turn to some snow in northeastern Minnesota.

Rainfall amounts will be relatively light with most rain falling across central Minnesota. Up to two-tenths of an inch of rain is possible for some spots.

Portions of northeastern Minnesota from Duluth up the North Shore and on the Iron Range could see a coating to a few tenths of an inch of slushy snow in some locations.

Overnight temperatures will remain above freezing for the southern half of the state so ice shouldn’t be a concern but northern Minnesota will see subfreezing overnight lows.

Wednesday will bring another mild day with slowly decreasing cloud cover. Highs will be in the 40s and 30s mostly.

Another disturbance brings a better chance at snow showers for northeastern Minnesota Wednesday night. Some spots could see as much as 1 or 2 inches.

The mild weather persists the remainder of the week with another system bringing potentially more snow to northeastern Minnesota Friday into Friday night.
