Our Saturday begins with an early round of light snow in northern Minnesota and temperatures in single digits and teens. Mostly sunny skies take over and the need for the hat and gloves fades with highs near and above freezing from the Canadian border to the Iowa border.
The best chance for 40 degrees will be near Marshall.

Our snowmelt will refreeze overnight as temps bottom out in teens to low 20s, so be mindful of icy patches Sunday morning.

Sunday afternoon, cool pockets like Grand Marais on the North Shore should still be near 35 degrees. Temperatures in the 40s are possible from Alexandria to the Twin Cities. Sticking with Marshall to represent the warm spot, it could reach 50 there.

The mild weather won't only be felt in the heat of the day. Sunday night, lows staying in upper 20s to mid-30s would be a touch above daily average highs.

Monday and Tuesday, 40s remain abundant with 50s in southwestern Minnesota. It’s worth noting that cloud cover could challenge our ability to get quite this warm.

There will be several disturbances passing over us this week trying to bring a little rain or snow, but there isn't much moisture to work with. We have low chances for light precipitation that would be mostly rain Sunday night and Monday afternoon.
Tuesday night into Wednesday has a better chance, and it's possible that leaves a dusting of snow to northern communities Wednesday morning.

Any snow to fall would quickly melt as temperatures remain on the warm side of average through the week.
