Wind chills could drop as low as 45 below zero in the extreme cold warning area, and as low as 35 below zero in the cold weather advisory region. Here are some of the expected wind chills for northwestern Minnesota:

Monday night’s low temperatures will plummet into the teens below zero for the metro area and 20s below zero elsewhere.

Tuesday morning will require extra layers at the bus stop. “Feel-like" temperatures will range from the 20s to 40s below zero.

Wednesday’s temperatures will be in the single digits above and below zero with the Twin Cities making a run at double digits.

There are two chances for snow this week.
The first, a larger system, will track south of us on Wednesday, bringing southern Minnesota the potential for some accumulating snowfall. The second system, closer to the weekend, may also stay farther south, but it’s still something to watch.
