Sunday will bring plenty of February sunshine, with temperatures staying slightly below average. Southern Minnesota could see light snow Monday night. Cold arctic air will stick around next week, bringing back dangerously cold wind chills.
Sunny Sunday ahead
Sunny skies and calmer winds are in store for Sunday, with temperatures reaching the 20s in southern Minnesota and single digits to teens up north.

Another chilly night ahead as temperatures dip into the single digits, both above and below zero, across the state, accompanied by light westerly winds.

Monday will begin with sunshine, but clouds will build as a system moves in from the south. Southern Minnesota could experience a quick burst of light snow, with accumulation around one to two inches. The metro area may see a few flurries.

Another burst of arctic air
As Monday night rolls in, a high-pressure system in the Rockies will push more arctic air into the region. Temperatures will hit their lowest point on Tuesday, with Tuesday morning bringing bitterly cold wind chills.
The metro area could experience wind chills in the 20s below zero, while western, central, and northern Minnesota may see wind chills ranging from 30 to 40 below zero.

Temperatures will stay well below average through Thursday, but 20s are expected to return to the forecast by Friday.
