Snow showers end; windy and colder Monday night

Our latest round of snow will taper off through Monday morning. It will be colder Monday night into Tuesday. More snow is possible Wednesday.

Latest snowfall wraps up; more possible Wednesday 

Much of central Minnesota saw a fresh round of snow. The heaviest was around the Alexandria area with a swath of around 2 inches moving through east-central Minnesota into western Wisconsin. Most of the Twin Cities saw a coating to as much as an inch or two in the northern suburbs.

Lingering snow showers are largely tapering off through the morning Monday but more is on the way Wednesday into Wednesday night with our next disturbance.

Snowfall looks to be heaviest across central and northern Minnesota and the North Shore Wednesday into early Thursday.

Colder air also slides in later Monday riding in on north winds behind this morning’s snow. Highs Monday will be in the 20s and low 30s across central Minnesota but just in the single digits in northwestern Minnesota along with a north wind at 10-20 mph.

Monday night will be colder with lows falling to as cold as the teens below zero in far northern Minnesota. Southern Minnesota will remain above zero.

Temperatures will remain below normal overall this week with mostly teens and 20s for highs in southern Minnesota and single digits and teens north. More snow is possible again Saturday into Saturday night.
