Cooler temperatures and snow by midweek
Our snowfall will bring in colder temperatures this week. Monday night, northern Minnesota will see lows plunging into the teens below zero, while southern areas will stay just above zero.

With a northwest wind gusting at 5 to 15 mph, wind chill values will dip into the teens below zero. Northern areas could experience wind chills as low as 20 below zero by Tuesday morning.

The pink and purple shades will make a return on the map for Tuesday, indicating high temperatures in the single digits and teens.

Our next round of snow is expected late Wednesday into Thursday, as a disturbance moves across the Plains into the Great Lakes region.

This quickly moving system could bring 1 to 3 inches of snow to central Minnesota, including the metro area, with higher totals likely farther north.
