Chilly Tuesday, more snow Wednesday
Below-normal temperatures prevail on Tuesday. Highs will range from the upper teens south to just barely above zero in far northern Minnesota. We should see some hazy sunshine through high clouds.
Tuesday night won’t be as cold, although northern Minnesota will once again slip below zero. We should hover around 10 degrees in the Twin Cities.
Wednesday will be briefly warmer thanks to southeast winds ahead of the next chance at snow. Highs will be in the upper 20s across southern Minnesota.

Snow develops Wednesday afternoon and evening into Wednesday night with higher totals once again favoring northern Minnesota. There could be a mixture of freezing drizzle and snow in southern Minnesota.
Far southern Minnesota will see little snow while portions of northern Minnesota could see 6 inches of fresh snow. The Twin Cities will likely be on the lower end with 1 or 2 inches.
Temps will dip a bit again for Thursday and Friday and more snow develops Saturday. The Saturday snowfall could be more significant. Several or more inches of snow are possible for central Minnesota.
The track could still change — we’ve certainly seen that happen this winter many times — but it looks promising for snow lovers. If we get 2 or more inches in the Twin Cities, it would be the most significant snowfall since Dec. 19.
Behind the weekend system, temperatures look to be consistently below normal for early next week. Normal highs range from 20 north to 27 south and we’ll be about 10 degrees below that Sunday through midweek next week.
