An intense band of snow is forecast to move in late Sunday night, potentially bringing one of the heaviest rounds of snow we've seen this winter.
Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories
Snow showers will continue across the Northland, especially along the North Shore, with winter storm warnings in effect until Sunday at 6 a.m. Winter weather advisories will expire around midnight, with an additional 1-3 inches of snow expected, and 4-8 inches along the North Shore.

Gusty winds out of the south-southeast will continue early Saturday night, gradually diminishing overnight. Breezy winds will create conditions for blowing and drifting snow, leading to limited visibility at times.

Another round of snow for Sunday
We’ll have one more mild day before temperatures drop for the workweek. Highs on Sunday will reach the 30s and 40s for much of the state, with 20s expected in northwestern Minnesota.

Another round of accumulating snow is possible late Sunday night into Monday morning. A narrow band could see 3-6 inches of snow, depending on where it sets up. Confidence in the exact location of this band remains low at this time. Central Minnesota is currently in the path of this snow band, but conditions could change significantly in the next 24 hours.
