A classic winter weekend with seasonal temperatures in the 20s. Saturday will bring cloudy skies and breezy northwest winds, with wind chills in the single digits. Light snow is possible, with minor accumulations as a clipper system passes through.

A low-pressure system in western Ontario, along with an associated cold front, will bring cloudy skies and breezy conditions for Saturday. Northwest winds will range from 12 to 25 mph, with gusts reaching up to 30 mph.

With air temperatures steady in the 20s and breezy winds, wind chills will drop into the single digits, and below zero across the state.

Light snow is possible with minor accumulations, mainly confined once again to the north. A winter weather advisory is in effect for the northwestern portions of the state due to the threat of blowing snow with winds gusting over 40 mph. 

Sunshine returns for Sunday, with temperatures warming to around 30 degrees for southern Minnesota, 20s north. West winds continue around 10-20 mph. 

Aside from a brief cooldown on Wednesday, we'll enjoy a solid stretch of temperatures in the 30s and 40s.

A couple of clipper systems will move through next week, but the main focus of the action will stay to our north.

Snow lovers, hang tight until early February, when we can expect a shift in the weather pattern that brings more snow chances.
