A clipper system will bring light snow to the northern areas, with flurries likely south of Interstate 94. Temperatures will warm up into the 20s and stay there through the weekend.

Start of a warming trend

After our frigid arctic blast of more than 65 hours below zero last weekend, a classic winter weekend is on the way. Southerly winds will push temperatures back to the seasonal average in the 20s.

Light snow with accumulations of 1-3 inches is possible on Friday in the Northland. This clipper system will bring increased cloud cover and mainly flurries south of Interstate 94.
