Snow will persist through Sunday, with temperatures dropping following the passage of our latest weather system. Arctic cold will settle in at the start of the workweek, but temperatures are expected to rise by Wednesday.
Snowfall recap
It looks and feels like winter as our latest low-pressure system moves out over the Great Lakes region. Snowfall totals show the metro area received around an inch of fresh powder, with higher amounts to the north of Interstate 94. The Brainerd area and North Shore saw up to six inches, while the North Shore is expected to get an additional 2 to 4 inches, with some areas along the shore receiving up to 4 to 8 inches.
Northwest winds will range from 15 to 25 mph, with gusts exceeding 30 mph. Due to the freshly fallen snow and breezy conditions, blowing snow is likely to create travel disruptions.
