Once this system is behind us, we don't have much in terms of snowmakers currently on the horizon. The focus will shift to cold for the start of the workweek.
Temperatures remain relatively mild Saturday night with lows hovering int 20s for southeast Minnesota. Cold air will start to take over from the northwest, leading to Sunday’s highs being set early with temps to fall through the day.
By Sunday night, temps will fall below zero across the region.
Monday will stay chilly with highs ranging from single digits below to single digits above zero.
The cold peaks Monday night. It’s worth noting that the fresh snowpack and clearing skies could lead to temps cooler than currently expected both Sunday night and Monday night.
Tuesday keeps highs in single digits once more, then we warm up from there with a chance of climbing above freezing on Thursday.
