Another clipper system will bring more snow to northern Minnesota. Wednesday will be briefly milder before colder air slides back into the state.
More snow north with big temperature swings ahead
Temperatures will be below normal once again Tuesday with mostly cloudy skies ahead of the next clipper system. Highs will be mostly in the 20s.
Snow showers will develop Tuesday morning in northwestern Minnesota and spread east through the day into Wednesday. The snow will largely be confined to the northern third of the state.
Several inches of snow are possible in the Arrowhead region with totals dropping off quickly to the south.

A winter weather advisory is posted for the shoreline portion of Cook County through 12 a.m. Wednesday for snow potential.
The highest temperatures Wednesday will be in the morning and midday before cold air drops temperatures into the evening and overnight Wednesday night. Low temperatures will be in the single digits in eastern Minnesota and subzero west.
Wind chill values will be subzero statewide early Thursday ranging from about 7 below zero in the Twin Cities to as cold as 15 below zero in western and northwestern Minnesota.
Another clipper system will again bring snow to northern Minnesota Friday into Saturday. The models are mixed on the amount of moisture and track but northeastern Minnesota can likely expect at least another coating of snow.
We’ll also see considerably milder air for the weekend as the cold air departs and much warmer air moves in.
High temperatures Saturday through Monday look to be above freezing for southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. In fact, by Sunday, we may see high temperatures in the low 40s for some!
