Travel weather for Thanksgiving week in Minnesota looks mostly favorable, so far. It will be colder than normal, but no major storms are in sight just yet.
This will be a pretty good weekend overall for late November. Skies will be mostly cloudy, but a few sunny breaks will emerge from time to time and winds will be much lighter than this week.
Highs on Saturday will run mostly in the 30s to a few 40s south.

Sunday brings the mildest day of the weekend. Highs into the 40s will cover much of southeastern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities.
Cold Thanksgiving week ahead
I am 100 percent confident that Thanksgiving week will be colder than this weekend. The jet stream shifts into northwest flow over much of the nation next week. That will sweep down colder Canadian air masses next week here on the ground.
A weather system over Illinois Monday will deepen as it shifts into the Great Lakes by Tuesday. Minnesota will be on the western edge of this system. Some light snow is possible on Monday, with heavier snow in the Great Lakes.
Highs by Tuesday show the colder air dome sliding southward. Highs will fall into the 20s with teens in western Minnesota!
Thanksgiving Day looks cold. Again, highs will be in the teens and 20s across Minnesota.
Overall, travel looks mostly favorable across the United States next week except for some rain and snow in the northeast Monday into Tuesday.
Bundle up next week. This is a good time of year to have a winter survival kit in your vehicle if you are traveling.
