On and off rain showers through the weekend

High temperatures trending at or above average

Cloudy skies are expected, with intermittent showers and drizzle from this afternoon through Sunday morning. Temperatures will remain at or above seasonal averages.

Dreary and drizzly

A low-pressure system near the Nebraska Panhandle will track northeast on Saturday, bringing increased cloud cover and rain showers. While it will take some time to saturate the dry atmosphere, once it does, we can expect intermittent showers and drizzle through Sunday morning.

Sunday's highs will range from the lower to mid-50s, with cooler pockets in the 40s along the North Shore due to an easterly wind coming off Lake Superior.

Cool down Monday, rain chances Wednesday

A dry cold front will move through late Sunday, shifting winds to the northwest. As cooler air follows behind the front, temperatures on Monday will settle into the 40s, returning to around seasonal averages. Our next chance of rain arrives on Wednesday, though we're still monitoring the forecast models for more details.
