A sunny Saturday is on tap for our first November weekend. The sunshine will eventually give way to clouds, and the forecast shows several chances for rain ahead.
Warm Saturday with sunshine
November is one of the cloudiest months in Minnesota, so any glimpse of sunshine is definitely appreciated. Saturday will feature sunny skies with above-average temperatures. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 50s, while northern areas can expect cooler readings in the 40s along with some filtered sunshine.

Clouds will start to thicken this evening as our next weather system approaches. With several weather systems moving in this weekend and into early next week, we can expect sunshine to be elusive until Tuesday.
Beneficial rain on the way
Halloween brought much-needed relief from our drought, with some areas receiving over one to two inches of precipitation. Rainfall amounts through early next week show areas picking up between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain.
Rain will begin late Saturday night and continue into early Sunday. We can expect a brief pause in the showers before more rain moves in later Sunday night.
Dreary and drizzle expected for Sunday. Temperatures will be cooler with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s.
