After scattered clouds Tuesday, we’re back to sunnier skies Wednesday and the rest of the week thanks to high pressure. High temperatures will be near 80 for southern Minnesota into Saturday. 

More anomalous warmth and dry weather ahead 

After a few cooler days that were actually right near normal, we’re back to above-normal temperatures the rest of this week into the weekend. Highs Wednesday will be in the upper 70s to near 80 across southern Minnesota with 70s all the way up to the international border. 

High pressure is keeping skies sunny today and for the remainder of the week and into the weekend. 

Temperatures may even be a few degrees warmer Thursday into Saturday with highs near or into the low 80s for the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota. 

The string of warm days persists into Monday with potentially a few days of highs reaching 80 degrees.

There’s no significant rainfall in sight either. Thursday’s drought monitor report is likely to show an expansion of dry conditions or even drought.
