Tuesday will be another very warm day. Southern Minnesota will see just a couple isolated showers and a few more clouds. Temps will be even warmer Wednesday and Thursday.

Temps stay well above normal

High temperatures again will be mostly in the 80s across the state except for northeastern Minnesota. High temperatures will run 7 to 13 degrees above normal.

We will have a few more scattered clouds and even a couple of isolated showers in southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin Tuesday.

In addition to scattered clouds, we’ll have occasional haze from elevated wildfire smoke Tuesday and Wednesday.

Overnight Tuesday night lows will be mild in the 50s and 60s under partly cloudy skies.

Wednesday and Thursday still look to be the warmest days of the week. Much of southern Minnesota will be in the upper 80s with a couple of 90-degree readings.

Ironically, tropical storm Francine, which is forecast to become a hurricane sometime Tuesday, will help reinforce the pattern keeping us warm and dry. Francine is forecast to reach Louisiana midday Wednesday as a Category 2 hurricane.

The upper level heat ridge of high pressure aloft will be pinched and pushed north and northeast with Francine being squeezed east.

Warmer-than-normal conditions continue into next week. We could see the chance of some rain over the weekend but there remains a wide variety of scenarios that could play out for that. Overall, the pattern is pretty dry for most of this week into the weekend:
