Nice Wednesday; more showers, thunder Thursday

After an intensely hot day Monday and storms Monday night into early Tuesday, we can enjoy a decent day Wednesday with afternoon sunshine and mainly dry weather.

Morning clouds and areas of fog (with isolated, patchy mist) will decrease giving way to partly cloudy skies. Highs will range from the low 80s southwest to just the upper 60s in northeastern Minnesota.

The dry break won’t last long. More showers and thunderstorms develop Thursday ahead of a second cool front.

Northwestern Minnesota will likely see some morning activity with a line of storms developing later in the afternoon from the Minnesota-Iowa border all the way up to the Minnesota-Canada border. Those storms will then sweep east into the evening Thursday.
