Lingering showers, thunder Tuesday with more rain Thursday

An intense line of strong to severe storms continues to push through east-central Minnesota and western Wisconsin — a second round after Monday evening’s storms.

After an intensely hot Monday and stormy night, some showers and thunder linger Tuesday morning, especially for northern Minnesota into the midday. We could also see some pop-up, instability driven showers and thunder again later in the day.

Wednesday should be dry with a bit of a temperature contrast between north and south. Highs in northern Minnesota will be in the upper 60s with readings near 80 south.
