Our latest deluge is focused on southern Minnesota through Saturday morning. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain fell across southwestern and south-central Minnesota through Friday morning. (See the map above.)
The torrential rainfall is causing flooding from southwestern Minnesota through Mankato to the Rochester area.
A flash flood warning is in effect for Rochester and surrounding areas until 5: 30 p.m. Friday. Another 1 to 3 inches of rain may fall across southeastern Minnesota.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of Minnesota, including the following areas, Anoka, Blue Earth, Carver, Dakota, Faribault, Freeborn, Goodhue, Hennepin, Le Sueur, McLeod, Nicollet, Ramsey, Rice, Scott, Sibley, Steele, Waseca, Washington and Wright and west central Wisconsin, including the following areas, Dunn, Pepin, Pierce and St. Croix.
* WHEN...Through Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Saturated soils combined with another couple rounds of very heavy rain could result in flash flooding.
