Our active spring storm pattern continues into early this week.
The next storm wave will cross Minnesota Tuesday afternoon into the early evening. This one likely features a narrow band of thunderstorms crossing Minnesota between midday and evening.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Storm Prediction Center lays out a slight risk zone across much of central Minnesota Tuesday including St. Cloud, the Twin Cities, and Interstate 90 corridor towns in southern Minnesota including Rochester. (See the map above.)
NOAA’s North American Mesoscale 3 km model is similar to others that shows the storms in western Minnesota by midday pushing into the Twin Cities, Duluth and eastern Minnesota by late afternoon into early evening:
