The wind combined with humidity around 30 percent makes for elevated fire weather conditions Thursday, the National Weather Service said.

Rain is the game for the rest of the week, into the weekend and Monday.

A pillar in the downtown Fargo community, Zandbroz Variety store, is closing its doors after 33 years, it announced Wednesday.

On its Facebook page, the store said it “has always been about more than transactions; it’s been a place for culture and interaction. We have tried to make it a welcoming place that feels like more than just a trip to the store.”

Its Sioux Falls, S.D., store will remain open.
