Frost advisory; another big soaker likely Friday into Sunday
Another inch or two of rain possible for much of Minnesota
This is how you dig your way out of drought.
The next two storms in a series this spring are heading for Minnesota by this weekend.
The first system arrives with rain and possibly thunder on Friday. We may catch a break for some dry(ish) outdoor activities on Saturday. But the next soaking arrives on Sunday.
First we endure one more frosty night across much of Minnesota.

* WHAT...Temperatures as low as 32 will result in frost formation.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, south central, and southeast Minnesota.
* WHEN...From 2 AM to 8 AM CDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
We enjoy a mostly sunny and calmer Wednesday with light winds for a change. Highs will mostly be in the 50s on Wednesday with some 60s in western Minnesota.
Thursday brings warmer temperatures before the first storm system arrives Friday.
Weekend soaking
It’s a 2-for-1 sale on rainstorms this weekend. The first system arrives on Friday. Timing is still in question, but it looks like we may catch a break in rain most of Saturday before the next system arrives Sunday.
Forecast models are generous with rain through Monday.
We could see the drought area shrink once again next week.
