Chilly Friday but warm air is back next week

Temperatures are chilly this Friday morning with wind chills in the single digits across southern Minnesota and even near 20 below zero in parts of northern Minnesota.

Highs Friday will range from 10 degrees in the north to about 20 south. A northwest breeze at 10-20 mph will keep it feeling colder throughout the day.

The breeze Friday will keep things chilly again but while Saturday will be warmer, it will also get quite blustery as warmer air returns. Wind gusts will be near 30 mph at times Saturday afternoon.

Temperatures next week will be very mild again, melting much of the fresh snow we just received. An upper-level ridge of high pressure will build back into the region bringing much warmer than normal temperatures yet again.
