Today in Fargo-Moorhead: Showers to snow Thursday

It’s a rainy Thursday afternoon with a high near 40. That rain will turn to snow by nightfall.

After some blustery rain and snow Thursday evening, the Fargo-Moorhead area has a 50/50 shot at snow Friday. Expect some minor travel impacts and up to 2 inches of snow in the northern Red River Valley.

Temperatures should drop closer to 30 Friday through Sunday.

The body of a man was found in a camper attached to a pickup that caught fire in a Moorhead parking lot early Thursday, the Fargo Forum reports.

Also from the Forum: In what some are calling a step backward for making The Arbors at McCormick Park a safer place to live, management at the affordable housing apartment complex have curtailed hours when community events can be held.

Feels a bit like spring? The ticks agree. The Metropolitan Mosquito Control District reported the first deer tick spotting in the Twin Cities on Monday. Since then, the district has continued to receive reports.
