Fog thickened again in many areas Sunday night. But this time it won’t hang around all day. Skies have cleared over most of central and southern Minnesota, which should allow the sun and mixing to break up the fog after sunrise on Monday. Until that occurs, dense fog advisories remain in effect over central and parts of southeastern Minnesota until 9 a.m.
While clouds linger across much of northern Minnesota for Monday, central and southern Minnesota will warm beneath the sunshine. Look for afternoon high temperatures in the upper 30s northeast and 40s over most of Minnesota. Parts of the southwest cloud touch 50. The Twin Cities should warm to about 46.
A weak disturbance will continue to bring chances of light rain and snow showers to northeastern Minnesota on Monday.
A weak Alberta clipper system could spread scattered light rain, snow and possibly freezing drizzle southeast across Minnesota Monday night. The best chance for some precipitation will likely be in the northeast.
