Our Saturday high temperatures will be in the single-digits above zero across most of Minnesota.
Some spots in the Twin Cities metro area and up along the North Shore of Lake Superior could reach the lower teens. Double-digit highs are also possible in western Wisconsin.
Afternoon wind chills will be in the teens below zero across much of western Minnesota, with mainly single-digits below zero to the east.

Breezy Sunday
Winds will be gusty on Sunday, due to the combination of a low pressure sytem to our west and a high pressure sytem over the Ohio River Valley. Sunday looks mainly dry, but far northwestern Minnesota could see a snow shower late Sunday evening.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale Forecast System model shows the potential precipitation pattern from 6 a.m. Sunday to 10 p.m. Sunday:

Temperature trends
Low temperatures early Sunday morning will be in the single-digits below zero across much of Minnesota:
Wind chills at 6 a.m. Sunday will be in the teens below zero:
Temperatures will recover nicely Sunday afternoon.
The average Twin Cities high temperature is 23 degrees on Jan. 20. Sunday highs reach the lower 20s in the metro area and across much of the southern third of Minnesota, with teens elsewhere:

Monday high temperatures will be in the 20s and lower 30s:
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the lower 30s on Monday and Tuesday, followed by mid 30s Wednesday and Thursday and upper 30s on Friday.
Above normal temps are expected next weekend and unusually warm weather could continue into the beginning of February. Here’s the Jan. 27 through Feb. 2 temperature outlook from the NWS Climate Prediction Center:
Weather nugget
Despite cold temps this past week, the average Twin Cities temperature is one-half a degree above normal this January (through 19 days). The average monthly temperature is the average of all the daily high temps and low temps.
