Lingering clouds Thursday with more sun Friday then cooler this weekend
We still have cloud cover from the Christmas storm system which continues to spin to our south. Clouds linger Thursday but we should see them decrease from north to south late.
Highs Thursday will be mostly in the 30s with some 40 degree readings southeast and colder readings in the 20s northwest.
Overnight with clearing skies it will be colder but still warmer than normal. Lows will drop into the teens north and 20s south.
Friday will be brighter with sunshine and highs near 40 south. The weekend will bring cooler but not frigid temperatures thanks to a cold front. Highs will mostly be in the 20s and 30s and the front will touch off some snow showers late Saturday north to early Sunday south. A coating of snow is possible with perhaps slightly more in northeast Minnesota.
