A very mild and sun-filled day is in store for us Thursday. We’ll see highs range from the low 50s in southwest Minnesota to mid 30s northwest. Rain showers will develop early Friday.
Mild Thursday with rain on the way Friday
Temperatures in the 20s and 30s early Thursday morning are already above-normal highs in many places. Normal highs range from around 20 in northern Minnesota to 30 in far southern Minnesota.
High temperatures will be in the low 50s in southern Minnesota to mid 30s in northwest Minnesota Thursday afternoon. We’ll also have lots of sunshine.
Our next weather disturbance will develop light rain showers early Friday in southern Minnesota that will expand north and east. Those rain showers will turn to snow showers in northeast Minnesota Friday night.
A coating to more than a couple of inches of snow will be possible in northeast Minnesota through Saturday.
Beyond that, temperatures remain mild into next week with highs mostly in the 30s and 40s.
