Milder Monday followed by a cold front Monday night with more warmth ahead

Monday will be briefly milder with sunshine. Light snow is possible Monday night in northern Minnesota. A cold front brings chillier air Tuesday, then it’s back to very mild weather midweek into the weekend.

After a chilly Sunday, Monday will be milder with highs in the 30s to near 40 degrees in southern Minnesota. Most of the state should see sunshine most of the day.

A cold front will kick up some light snow showers in northeastern Minnesota primarily with some minor accumulation possible there.

Monday night will be colder, especially in northwestern Minnesota, where single-digit lows are possible.

Tuesday will be briefly chillier with highs in the teens north and 20s south with more sunshine, but also blustery northwest winds at 10-25 mph with the highest winds in northeast Minnesota.

We’re then in for a prolonged warm up. Highs Wednesday will be back in the 30s and 40s in southern Minnesota and we’ll see a likely string of highs in the 40s for southern Minnesota Thursday into the weekend.

Another minor disturbance brings rain and snow showers to northern Minnesota primarily on Friday into early Saturday.
