Chilly weather continues with light snow showers possible Sunday

It was a cold early morning Friday. It was the first morning in the teens officially at the Minneapolis-St. Paul international airport. The temperature dipped to 13 degrees, the coldest morning since March 29. Many locations bottomed out in the single digits across northern Minnesota.

Friday will continue the trend of below normal temperatures across the region. Look for more sunshine and highs mainly in the 20s to near 30. Winds should be lighter finally also from the northwest at 5-10 mph.

Temperatures may rebound to above normal readings by late next week. That equates to highs near 40 in southern Minnesota and low 30s in northern Minnesota.
