Our current temps would be warm for July, but they are especially warm for early June.
The average June 3 Twin Cities high temperature is 75 degrees. Parts of the metro area could touch 90 degrees at some point Saturday afternoon.
Much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will have Saturday highs in the upper 80s to around 90. There will be some 70s near Lake Superior, with a few spots up there topping out in the upper 60s.

There will be a lot of 80s elsewhere, with 70s near Lake Superior.
Monday highs will be in the upper 80s in most of western Minnesota and in the southern half of Minnesota, with 70s in much of northeastern Minnesota and 60s near Lake Superior:

Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the upper 80s on Monday, then around 80 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday followed by lower 80s Tuesday and mid 80s on Friday.
Rain chances
An isolated shower is possible Saturday morning, then better rain chances develop with the heating of the day.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop over portions of Minnesota and western Wisconsin as we go through Saturday afternoon, and some of those showers and thunderstorms could linger into Saturday evening.
Some spots in Minnesota and western Wisconsin will see little or no rain today, while other spots could see downpours at times. Remember that it does not have to be raining at your location for lightning to strike nearby.

A few very scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop in Minnesota and western Wisconsin Sunday afternoon, with more numerous showers and thunderstorms possible on Monday.
June 2021 heat wave

Two years ago today, the Twin Cities high temperature was 91 degrees. Twin Cities highs were also in the 90s the following 8 days.
According to the Minnesota State Climatology Office:
“…this heat wave produced nine consecutive high temperatures of at least 90 F, tying it for the third-longest such streak on record, and easily breaking the record for consecutive 90-degree days occurring on or before June 15; the previous record had been six, occurring in 2018, 1956, and 1934. The Twin Cities also experienced nine straight low temperatures of at least 70 F, which ranked #3 all-time and obliterated the old early-season (June 15 or earlier) records; the area had never previously recorded more than three straight 70-degree nights during or before the first half of June!
