Scattered mid-level clouds will clear through the morning Thursday. Highs will be in the 70s and low 80s with 60s near the North Shore. Memorial Day weekend still looks mainly dry with temperatures heating up potentially next week.

It was frosty for some in northeastern Minnesota early Thursday. Temperatures dipped to 32 degrees in Crane Lake and Ely.

Skies are still hazy thanks to wildfire smoke aloft, but that smoke should retreat into Canada late Thursday into the weekend.

An upper-level ridge will continue to keep things largely dry and very warm compared to normal through early next week.

Forecast upper-level pattern through early Tuesday. As the axis of the upper-level ridge (red areas of anomalies) shifts east, some thunder will become possible next week.

By Tuesday and Wednesday, Minnesota will start to see some isolated showers and thunderstorms become possible.
