Cooler, some showers north Wednesday
Wednesday will be cooler with temperatures dropping by more than 10 degrees for most places from Tuesday’s highs. Southwestern Minnesota will still be warm in the low 80s but the North Shore will see highs only in the 50s with blustery northeast winds off Lake Superior.

Wednesday night will be cool, especially in northern Minnesota where temps will dip into the 30s.

We’ll have hazy skies from wildfire smoke still and moderate air quality at times in southern Minnesota. The smoke looks to clear the skies by late Thursday into the weekend.

The only place that may see some showers or thunder break through the ridge will be into far western or northwestern Minnesota late in the weekend.
