Race against the fall color clock: Over half of Minn. already at or past peak

Even after the bright red and orange maple leaves are long past peak, forests in northern Minnesota still have plenty of golden fall color from aspen and tamarack trees. These aspen trees were brightening the woods in the morning sun on Wednesday, northeast of Duluth.
