Professor Sherry Turkle of MIT is known for her bestselling books about the impact of technology on human behavior and communication. They have the provocative titles, "Reclaiming Conversation: The Power of Talk in a Digital Age" and "Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from Each Other."
With the COVID-19 pandemic underway, and a lot more of our lives lived in the digital world, Turkle was invited by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences to share her insights on this world that seems turned upside down.
The moderator on July 9 was David Oxtoby, president of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
