Community members from Burnsville, Apple Valley and Eagan honked horns and waved from decorated cars Tuesday during a parade to thank nurses and other health care workers for their work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Led by the Burnsville Fire Department, the caravan passed hospital workers waving from the entrance of M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville.

It was held on the last day of National Nurses Week and on the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
