A portion of Interstate 94 in St. Paul will close from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Both eastbound and westbound I-94 will shut down between Minnesota Highway 280 and Interstate 35E for the removal of the northbound side of the Dale Street bridge.
Another weekend closure of this stretch of I-94 is planned for later this year so that crews can remove the other side of the bridge, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said.
The Dale Street reconstruction project began in mid-March and includes rebuilding and widening the bridge over I-94. Construction on the new bridge is expected to be completed by fall.
