New documentary traces pivotal year for the future of Minnesota sports
With top-level professional teams in baseball, football, basketball, hockey and soccer, there's no question that Minnesota is big league when it comes to sports — but that wasn't always the case.
A new television documentary premiering at 9 p.m. Monday on Twin Cities PBS looks at a pivotal year for Minnesota sports. "Becoming Big League" takes us through the events of 1960 and how they shaped the future of sports in our state.
