MPR News’ Cathy Wurzer hosted a discussion in April with an internationally known Buddhist teacher and pioneer in the field of end-of-life care, and an intensive care physician who specializes in palliative care.

Dr. Jessica Zitter is an Intensive Care Unit and palliative care physician in Oakland, Calif. She is the author of a book, "Extreme Measures: Finding a Better Path to the End of Life."

Frank Ostaseski co-founded the Zen Hospice Project and the Metta Institute in San Francisco and he wrote "The Five Invitations: Discovering What Death Can Teach Us About Living Fully."

The discussion was held in Bloomington on April 15, 2019, as part of the annual conference of the Minnesota Network of Hospice and Palliative Care.
