There aren't any full freeway closures on tap for the Twin Cities this weekend — but a host of lane closures and some transit changes may cause headaches for travelers.
Interstate 35W
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says Interstate 35W near downtown Minneapolis will be reduced to a single lane in each direction between Interstate 94 and Washington Avenue.
The lane closures take effect at 8 p.m. Friday and continue all weekend.
State Highway 100
In the west metro, bridge work on Highway 100 will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction between I-394 and Excelsior Boulevard. That starts at 10 p.m. Friday and will wrap up by 8 a.m. Saturday.

Interstate 494
Drivers who travel Interstate 494 in the southeast metro will have to contend with lane and ramp closures for the fourth straight weekend.
MnDOT says crews will be doing more resurfacing work between Highway 52 and Interstate 35E.
Eastbound traffic will be reduced to two lanes; there'll be just one lane open for westbound drivers. Several ramps to and from westbound 494 along that stretch also will be closed. The closures will end before the Monday morning rush hour.
Metro Transit Blue Line
Buses will replace trains at the far southern end of Metro Transit's Blue Line for much of the weekend.
The partial shutdown affects service between the 28th Avenue and Mall of America stations in Bloomington. Metro Transit says the shutdown will allow crews to conduct scheduled maintenance work.
It starts at 7 p.m. Friday and continues through noon Sunday.
Metro Transit also will make changes to service on some bus routes starting Saturday; find complete details here.
