Only in these times could a candidate launch a campaign with a campaign ad about a campaign ad she used in a previous election that she lost.
MJ Hegar, the former combat helicopter pilot, lost her race for Congress despite her "Doors" ad that, basically, was the best campaign ad in last fall's election in Texas.
So she's trying again, this time for the U.S. Senate seat held by Sen. John Cornyn.
A Democrat has not won a statewide race in Texas since 1994.
The Cornyn camp knew the challenge was coming.
Ads are nice, but money is what gets you to Washington. Cornyn has $7.4 million on hand. Hegar has $37,000.
