Only in Minnesota.

Many of you watched in shock as snowflakes sailed through the air Sunday.

Thursday was the warmest day since October 3 when the Twin Cities hit 79 degrees.

Friday cold front

Friday dawns balmy for October. A few showers sweep through during the early morning hours. Sun returns, and temperatures rebound into the 60s in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota.

You'll notice the brisk northwest winds sweeping across Minnesota Friday. By Friday night it will feel like late fall once again. Saturday looks downright wintry with temperatures in the 30s most of the day and a few snow flurries. Sunday will be the milder day this weekend. Temperatures hover mostly in the 50s next week. The output below was too conservative this week, and I think you can add 5 to 10 degrees to the highs below for next week.
