Steamy, with thunderstorms at times today and tonight; cooler by Tuesday

Some strong to severe thunderstorms are moving across parts of east-central Minnesota and the far northern part of the Twin Cities metro area early this Sunday morning. Parts of western Wisconsin will also see some strong to severe early morning storms.

Additional scattered showers and thunderstorms could develop in Minnesota and western Wisconsin this morning.

The atmosphere will remain unsettled this afternoon and evening, with some strong to severe thunderstorms possible at times.

Highs in the 80s are expected in much of southern and central Minnesota this Sunday afternoon:

Twin Cities metro area highs are expected to be in the low to mid 70s Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by upper 70s Thursday and 80 on Friday.
